Berlin might soon be invaded by wolves!
A pack of wolves has settled a mere 25 km from the German capital. The pack is well established enough to have cubs. Scientists have been able to observe them just outside the city. Although researchers say that wolves rarely go into urban areas, they're keen to see if they are tolerated or how they interact with farmers.
Wolves have become more common since they were put under protection in 1990. Their numbers are slowly, but steadily increasing. Researchers are trying to come up with ways to manage the population and their relationship with humans in a safe way.
