For someone with expensive tastes, caviar ice cream seems like the perfect opportunity to mix the gourmet and the timeless classic of ice cream on a hot, summer day. Or maybe it’s just strange... that’s up to the consumer’s discretion.

Nevertheless, this ice cream is a one-of-a-kind type of ice cream. It is made up of 60% white sturgeon Alverta Royal Petrossian caviar. It is the masterpiece of the French ice cream company Phillipe Faure. Phillipe Faure has 73 interesting flavors, but caviar is undoubtedly its most interesting. Here are some other interesting flavors:

  • The Book of Sweet Things by Sean and Kieran Murphy holds a recipe for a rather salty ice cream flavor. It offers directions for Blue Cheese and Caramelized Shallot Ice Cream. It’s main ingredients are egg yolks, milk blue cheese, banana shallots and butter/oil.
  • Another interesting flavor is sweet corn ice cream. The finished ice scream actually contains corn kernels and is made with a whole corn cob!
  • And, of course, bacon must be added to everything. Therefore, it’s hardly surprising that candied bacon ice cream also makes the list of strange flavors.
