Even though African lions are known as the king of the jungle, a giraffe could decapitate one with just one kick. The key difference here is that the term decapitation is broader than what most people believe. Decapitation in the broadest sense means the severing of the cranium from the spine.

Giraffes can also run at speeds up to 34 mph. Their tongue is 18 inches long and they have one of the longest tails in the animal kingdom. They live for about 25 years and their gestational period is 15 months. That’s a long time for a bun in the oven to cook!
