Throughout history there have been reports of animals raining down from the sky.
That isn’t to say that there’s any literal truth to the old cliche, “It’s raining cats and dogs”. Maybe “raining fish and frogs” might make more sense. It’s still a rare phenomenon, and it has still yet to be proven or scientifically explained.
All over the world (United States, Singapore, Argentina, Australia, Hungary, United Kingdom, Japan, India) there have been people reporting sightings of fish, frogs, bugs, worms and even jellyfish falling from the sky in a rainstorm. Californians and Kentuckians in the 19th century even reported seeing a cow fall from the sky.
Some scientists believe that it may have been tornadoes that lifted the animals into the air and carried them long distances.
