An enzyme in pineapples called bromelain destroys proteins! If you try to put fresh pineapple slices into your Jell-O, the bromelain will break down the gelatin. If you tried to mix it with Jell-O mix and put it in the fridge, it’ll stay in liquid form instead of turning it to Jell-O. Canned pineapples don’t have bromelain, so you can put those in your Jell-O instead.
Bromelain can also be used to ruin a perfectly good steak. A little bit can be added to tenderize the meat, but if you leave it in the steak for a couple days, it gets really mushy. It has the same effect on human tongues. However, your tongue regenerates cells quickly, so you don’t have to worry about eating pineapple (unless you’re allergic).

Bananas are good for plenty of things. Eating a banana can help cheer you up; it’s the only fruit to contain the amino acid typtophan plus Vitamin B6 which helps the body produce the natural mental depression alleviating chemical serotonin. Bananas help prevent constipation; an enzyme called fructiooligosaccharide hinders the fermentation of bananas in the intestinal track. And bananas are also great for ripening those pesky green tomatoes!
Sealing a ripening banana with two or three tomatoes, and placing it in a warm area away from sunlight will cause the banana to give off an exceptionally large amount of a natural plant hormone called ethylene. Ethylene affects cell growth and cell shape; in fruits it work towards ripening them.
As a result, in a matter of 1-2 days both the banana and the green tomatoes will ripen and adopt that red hue.

So by these definitions, a strawberry is not a berry. A berry is simply a fruit that has seeds and pulp produced from a single ovary. In addition to those already said, this includes the blueberry, coffee berry, cranberry, gooseberry, grape, persimmon, and tomato.

One really nasty effect of eating grapes is that the dogs produce less urine. When the dogs can’t produce enough urine, they die.
If you want to keep your dog healthy, keep them away from grapes and raisins, and also watch out for macadamia nuts and onions.
