In Zombieland, Jesse Eisenberg’s character has a fear of clowns. In real life his mom is a professional clown!
Eisenberg’s parents moved from Poland to the U.S. where he and his two sisters were born. He does speak fluent Polish and often visits Poland. His dad ran a hospital and then became a college professor. His mom is a professional clown who performs at children’s birthday parties.
Ironically, in his breakout role in “Zombieland,” his character has a fear of clowns. Jesse was born in Queens, New York, but grew up in New Jersey. He started acting when he was 10 and was on an off-Broadway play.
He played Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of Facebook, in the 2010 film “The Social Network.” His role gave him a nomination for best actor at the Golden Globes. He actually has played two Harvard students-Benjamin Strauss and Mark Zuckerberg.
His younger sister Hallie was a very successful child actress and they even played siblings in the film “Holy Rollers.”
